A few Tell Tale signs that we are dehydrated~ chapped lips, cuticles, chapped finger tips, foggy thinking, sluggish, headaches, and yellow urine.  If your lips are not so luscious or your experiencing dry skin, Calendula is a wonderful natural herbal remedy relief for skin related issues.  You can find Calendula creams, gels, oils, lotions and tinctures in most health food stores..  The Calendula remedies are made from the petals of the “pot marigold” flower – look for products with at least 10-percent extract of Calendula officinalis.  A tincture can be a gentle, effective remedy for treating dry skin, all you have to do is wash the chapped or irritated location on the skin with a diluted Calendula tincture solution.  The creams, oils or gels are  ready-to-use simply apply the Calendula skin products directly on desired and or irritated area. Calendula is known for it’s gentle, safe  manner of treating minor burns, minor cuts, eczema, skin irritations, rashes (including diaper rash), and acne .  Don’t get chapped as you now know this is one of those remedies to keep handy in your kitchen (for minor cuts or burns), car and children’s sports back packs..

Don’t let Winter get the moisture of you…Hydrate..and feel GREAT. and have Calendula on hand…

Stye in my Eye http://www.centerofhealing.net/wellness-path/a-cute-first-aid/stye-in-my-eye/ http://www.centerofhealing.net/wellness-path/a-cute-first-aid/stye-in-my-eye/#comments Mon, 26 Jul 2010 01:05:35 +0000 admin http://www.centerofhealing.net/wellness-path/?p=78 Why oh why do I have a stye in my eye?
I feel like I might cry
Though I don’t wish to pry
I can’t help notice you have been a wee bit pressed
Oh you say, “Stressed”.
Warm compress you must apply to the stye
You might even try a poultice o’ eyebright
Rest and consider your self blessed
Are you ready? Alright, say bye, bye to your stye
OH MY (I couldn’t help but throw that in)

You are experiencing a clog in the oil gland around the eyelashes. This little clog creates a bit of an imbalance that some may call a bacterial infection or a STYE.

Just KNOW that the stye is an expression to rid your body of unwanted “WHATEVER”. IE: stress, toxins etc…

So you ask how do I say bye, bye to my stye?

There are various natural remedies for styes. One natural and effective remedy is to apply a clean warm (not too hot keep in mind the area around your eye is quite tender) water compresses (you can use a towel or a tea bag) apply to the stye.

Hold the compress in place for as long as the heat remains in the compress.
The warmth from the compress brings your blood to the surface which in turn helps the body naturally fight off the bacteria. Repeat this process as many times as possible, at least four times a day until clog has dissipated. The heat will draw out the clog and assist in speeding up the draining/healing process.

Eyebright has also been known to be effective as a poultice. ( see my site for directions on how to make poultice)

Rest and consider yourself blessed as you have a super healthy body that is expressing and cleansing for you… whew! no need to keep it in.

Say Goodbye to the stye

DO NOT attempt to puncture stye.
