While lying on a cold dirt floor in the Amazon jungle of Peru in the wee hours of the morning I had an overwhelming knowing that I was going to starve to death. Starvation had overtaken me, I could not move my arms or legs, my limbs were becoming dust I could feel myself decomposing and rejoining the earth as one. At first I felt at peace, this sensation overtook me. In my minds eye a clear picture of a majestic tree, three beings that I knew to be Adam, Eve, and a brilliant illuminated genderless being was as clear as anything I had ever known. It felt as though I was there with them or was them in a manner of speaking. Rewind, we were gathered together to reverse, unwind, dispel the paradigm of separatism/right/wrong/good/evil/ you see where I am going with this list it goes on forever… just as I whole heartedly with every molecule of my BEing accepted the honor to die for this reversal I remembered I had an apple in a bag just to my right. I fought to move my right arm, I could not, how about just a finger, nothing.

(Later I was told by a friend she could see three bright lights above me while I was having this experience.) We are currently living in a world filled with separation.. a few examples church and state, one mate, male and female, right or wrong. Let’s start there. Why should we stop loving at one mate and only share our love with one person? That is a heavy responsibility for one person to have to satisfy all of another person’s every need and visa versa. Love is a pure emotion that when it arises should be honored. Share, if I wish to share an intimate conversation with a girl friend and a few tears and hugs no one would think anything of it. on the other hand if my husband were to do the same with a friend of the same sex he would be judged. Same goes for me if I were to enjoy time with a male friend. do you think if we allowed ourselves to be who we really are we would have the need to have sex with everyone that sparkles in our lives? When your honey pot is full you make choices from a pure full place not a place of emptiness and a need to replace energy or false love. If you are enticed to share your love with an individual of the same sex judgment has no place in this universe. With judgment comes separation with separation comes anger, guilt frustration, control and ultimately we loose our individuality.. our SELF…

Everything, everything desires attention. You can choose to give your energy to the positive or to the negative.

Why not embrace good and evil, right and wrong, dark and light, because, really, we can not have one without the other.

Feeling unfocused, fuzzy? Overwhelmed? Here is how I pulled myself out of the haze.. a method that lasts forever its easy and only takes a few days to master and have it stick with you forever….okay here we go… this is how to …Fill yourself with unconditional love…..Envision your self being filled by the sun filtering through the top of your head. Fill your self up with sweet sun tea. You can be anywhere anytime to have this visualization. The sun fills you with sweet sun tea for you to enjoy and spill out onto others. As they get a taste of your sweet sun T they will desire more of the same for themselves and for others as do you. At all times stay full this is the best way to share.

The key to cosmic happiness is unconditional love for self and others and then SHARING.

If I have the desire to be constantly “right” then eventually I would have to accept that I can also be wrong in order to be right again.

As I rediscover and honor who I truly am I find unconditional self love to be the key to BE freely ME.

Like a new outfit, each time I try on honoring myself the universe rewards me with miraculous gifts. Clarity presents, time slows and events seamlessly unfold.

Yes, yes say yes to yes. Say yes out loud to everything that honors and feels right for you, this act confirms the action and anchors it firmly into your reality.

Yes, say yes and smile when someone offers to let you go first or opens a door for you. then do it for someone else.

You are working to get off many medications that you have been taking for years, you successfully no longer are taking one, the therapist takes the credit.. you say yes I did make solid healthy choices and yes I did IT.

A friend says you look beautiful, say yes inside or out loud.. Why not own it?

Recently, I had a chance to learn how to love deeper. My father Mo is in his upper 70’s he lives in an assisted care facility in a beautiful town he has always wanted to live in. A few moths after he was settled in he feels there is an injustice taking place and spear heads a coalition to oust the director of the facility. As the director is leaving he makes sure that Mo must go. So a few days prior to Mo’s final day in the home I find out what has taken place. At first I think I must put on my super hero cape and fly into save him.. From the first day I heard about mo’s mess I thought I would go and help but something deep inside would not let me pull the trigger to book the ticket. Then a dear friend asks me what will it accomplish by you going? I chewed on his words for a bit then realized I would be honoring and loving myself and Mo in the most pure form by allowing him to clean up his own creation. Yes, I said yes to the inner voice that was resisting flying off into the sunset to be the hero..

Think of examples:

  • Honor/Share who you are with you, then watch the reflection will rainbow onto others
  • The more you love yourself whole heartedly the more love you have to share with others

Are you chapped?  Is Winter getting the moisture of you?   Fight back with Calendula healing products and hydrate by drinking more water….When we think hydrate we think hot summers, work outs and sweating…then water.  Though did you know?  That in the Winter we get much more dehydrated than in the Summer?   Because we tend to drink less water in the Winter and we are not sweating as much so we don’t think drink, drink, drink water.. A few Tell Tale signs that we are dehydrated~ chapped lips, cuticles, chapped finger tips, foggy thinking, sluggish, headaches, and yellow urine.  If your lips are not so luscious or your experiencing dry skin, Calendula is a wonderful natural herbal remedy relief for skin related issues.  You can find Calendula creams, gels, oils, lotions and tinctures in most health food stores..  The Calendula remedies are made from the petals of the “pot marigold” flower – look for products with at least 10-percent extract of Calendula officinalis.  A tincture can be a gentle, effective remedy for treating dry skin, all you have to do is wash the chapped or irritated location on the skin with a diluted Calendula tincture solution.  The creams, oils or gels are  ready-to-use simply apply the Calendula skin products directly on desired and or irritated area. Laryngitis ~ No hoarsing around

My Mom emailed me today, she could not call because she was hoarsing around and lost her voice while being filled with family gratitude over Thanksgivng…Tis the Season for loosing your voice due to the swelling of the mucous membranes in your larynx (voice box), which leads to hoarseness or loss of your voice.  The most common cause is an upper respiratory virus, such as the common cold.   However, with the Holidays upon us you may be using your voice to horse around more than usual.  For example talking over the hum of a house full of guests at a holiday gathering, or office party, or singing festive melodies to celebrate the season.  Your vocal cords may find this use uncommon, a bit more exercise than they are used too so they fight back by creating nodules (from over or misuse).  Let us not forget stomach acids induced from irritation (from holiday over eating, holiday stress, lines at the mall, traffic)..

essential ~essential oils

shhh…don’t whisper it’s more difficult on your vocal cords… take this time to BE, BE quite.  If you have a tickle try to swallow instead of clear your voice or cough this is the most gentle approach to sooth your vocal cords.  Drink an abundance of water, warm or room temperature a most delightful way for your body to assimilate the moisture and sooth your vocal cords.  Inhaling steam with a few drops of essential oil such as eucalyptus, lemon or rosemary is most refreshing and healing.  The same can be accomplished with a humidifier or room diffuser.

homeopathically speaking

argentum nitricum- laryngitis of speakers or singers.  when swallowing feels as if you haea splinter in your throat.  thick mucus in throat.  difficulty swallowing, food sticks in throat.  thirsty, craves sweets, better cold air, anxious, nerveous, impulsive, stage fright.

aconite- sudden onset of hoarseness after exposure to cold dry wind, over use or fright.  hoarse after midnight, from cold air and talking.  cough is dry and short with difficulty breathing.

causticum- this is one of the most indicated remedies for laryngitis after exposed to cold, over use in singers, or from anger or grief.  raw throat sensation, dry cough that induces sore chest and burning.   worse dry cold wind, better damp wet weather, worse 3-4 a.m.  mucus is difficult to expectorate.

phosphorus- a well known remedy for its use for coughs and bronchitis, also indicated for laryngitis.  sore, raw, inflamed larynx, too painful to talk.  loss of voice due to over use.  while talking a tickle attacks that leads to cough.  better eating cold food/drinks and being in cold water, worse cold air, weather changes, talking, emotions, laughing, eating hot or warm foods.

arum triphyllum- hoarse, much mucus expectorates with a hawking sound.  throat has sensation of being swollen, tightly constricted, and burning.  voice cracks, its undependable, changing pitch.  known as the “clergymans sore throat.”   worse talking, singing etc

spongia tosta- the larynx feels constricted, dry, tickle, burning.  keep this remedy in mind at the onset of croup.  may hear a dry hacking barking cough.  worse at night, from touch, when asleep and when swallowing.  a feeling as if being suffocated.  better warm food and drinks, lying with head low.

CHOICE my journey..part 1 of 3….NO Kidney~ing around

It has become very clear to me over the past few years that the KIDNEYS “Kids” do not kid around.  They are super heros.  Do your KIDS listen?  Well find out how the Kidneys and the Ears are closely related.

Much to my surprise two years ago I was making a huge life choice to live or transition, I now know this only because I have been blessed with the gift of life~hind site .  That means I am alive to look back and see my experience.  Whilst in the thick of it, I felt like I was in a fog,   I now see I was blessed to be making clear life choices with out visual site, all a part of the TRUST and learning experience.  So I can now share with you.

It all began slowly, my physical eye site and purpose became unclear, blurred and foggy, my hearing was, crackly, waining, spotty at best.  Let me tell you I could not read or focus I was unable to make a simple decision.  everything started piling up around me.  I was unable to focus enough to work on the computer or to read a book.  Those of you whom know me know I am a bit of a clean freak so piles all around in my life was a brilliant clue to my dis-ease.  My kidneys hurt, and I was bleeding for a few months.  Of course I thought, ah, I am just going through menopause this must be normal.   With the loss of blood the fatigue, minimized hearing and blurry vision must be normal.. Right?  However, without my eye site and hearing life was getting really real, I finally, became a bit scared and started calling around to get a Doctors appointment.  Much to my dismay I found out my Gynecologist had retired and his co-workers were to busy  to see me for over a month.   Even though I expressed that I believed it was more on the side of an emergency since I had been bleeding for over a month they assured me they would call if they had a cancellation, of course I waited.  After a few days I started asking girl friends if they liked their Gynecologist and if so would they please share the name and number quickly.  I called a few to no avail.  What seemed like forever passed and finally I received a call that one of the Doc’s in my former Gynecologists office had a cancellation and I could come in, though I may have to wait. Wait, of course I would wait I had waited this long.  I arrived around 9:30 in the morning after dropping my girls at school and proceeded to wait, I waited and waited.  I waited until 2:30.  It looked like this for the first 3 1/2 hours I was in the WAITING ROOM, NO KIDDING until 1:00 then moved to an examination room until 2:30.  At 2:30 when I needed to leave to pick up my girls a nurse assistant came in and started asking questions.  She said I was fine and should not worry, I almost lost my cool.  I did leave to get my girls from school, and yes I was late.  That day I never saw a doctor though I knew I had to take matters into my own hands and my kidneys were not kidding around.

This is what I did..

A pinch of research and natural modalities of healing

I had to decide if my kidneys were giving me a wake up call or did I have candidia, or cancer or all of the above?  Wow! there is so much information out there.. I zeroed in on my symptoms and really listened to my body.  Seeing how all my ailments went back to my “kids”..

Every organ holds an emotion- our Kidneys hold fear..

We all know our “kids” clean and filter each drop of our blood once an hour of every moment that we are alive.  They assist in maintaining our perfect acid/alkaline ph levels, which we know is top priority in preventing dis-ease, playing a lead roll in our emotional health as well as weight control.  The kidneys are almost solely responsible for maintaining and regulating our bodies fluid balance- preventing dehydration on a cellular level, and preventing our bodies from holding onto to much water which is called edema,… puffy.

Our kidneys (Kids) help to regulate our blood pressure, (my human kids actually raise my blood pressure especially when they are fighting).  Hypertension (HBP) or elevated blood pressure, which is the #1 cause of cardiovascular death in America.  Our “Kids” assist in getting those much needed vitamins and minerals into our blood stream.  Then what is not absorbed or needed is sent out through our urine.  Have you ever noticed your urine to be quite yellow?  That may be an indicator that your kidneys need a little more support such as water or a cleanse.  Keep in mind that B vitamins are often sourced from foods rich in yellow color.

Our kidneys help to control and regulate the production of red blood cells which carry oxygen to every cell in our body.    It’s been said some cases of anemia may be linked to lowered kidney function, not just poor iron assimilation.

So how do we keep our kidneys “Kids” healthy?

Water, drink more healthy water than you can imagine …  a good rule of thumb is drink half of your bodies weight in ounces per day.  Add a few drops of lemon essential oil if you wish.  I recommend Young Living essential oils in my experience they are the most pure and healing.

Eat 75% of your food RAW.  Why?  Raw foods still contain their enzymes and nutrients they are also higher in their natural water content as well.

Melrose (essential oil)  is great applied neat (undiluted) topically over the bladder and or bladder reflex point on foot for incontinence.

Treat your kidney’s (Kid’s) to….No soda, No coffee both are highly acidic… and too much processed sugar is equally as disturbing to the “Kids” whole health balance.

Treat your Kidneys (Kids) to lots of fluids, barley water, beet juice sipped all day, fresh coconut water, unsweetened cranberry juice for acidity, and Bacteriostatic Quince, carrots, cherry juice, onions, radishes and water melon.  Asparagus has aspargine that rids oxalic acid crystals in the muscles an stones in the kidneys.  Apple cider vinegar for hydrochloric acid.

Kidney detoxifiers- Artichokes, Leek, Parsley (faster waste matter flow), Onion, Birch leaf, Horsetail, Rose hips, Goldenrod, Juniper Berry, Butterbur, Betula, Viscum album, cayenne (faster blood movement), Goldenseal (moves waste from kidney to bladder), Rhubarb, Sage and Dandelion root tonic (faster waster matter flow), Comfrey root, Chaparral, Myrrh, and Knottgrass

Drink NingXia Red, at least 3 oz. daily – if you are having a kidney issue then up to 6 ozs. per day until resolved. An even better plan is to commit to drinking one bottle of NingXia Red per week for six months – you will no doubt see amazing results.

Its ALL~ways a Choice...The Journey continues
My feet were aching along with the bleeding (mentioned above), loss of site, crackling ears, inability to make a decsion any decsion I was deep in a fog.  I felt polluted.  This deep fog held me tight like an unwanted hug.  I wanted clarity though I could not focus long enough to make somthing happen. With school in full swing~ kids are touching and catching everything…   Your people are spending most of their day in the class room where  hopefully sharing is encouraged… though does “SHARING”  have to include germs? !  Seems so…

Statistics show school age children catch around 4  to 5 colds a year, that number is a bit higher for our preschool age children as they are strengthening their lil immune systems.

For those of you who need the facts:  Viruses, are like little microscopic tad poles of DNA and RNA that love to communicate.. By flying through the air on droplets of moisture, such as mucus, and or saliva. HA HA HA CHOO….This is where the sneeze pocket comes into play.  When you or your child feels a sneeze boiling quickly place your face in the crook of your arm (oppisite side of elbow), the perfect pocket to catch those virus spreading droplets from shooting out and contaminating/communicating with others.  Those lil virus buggers can survive for a looooong time.  All it takes is a touch or simple inhale of one bugger and Ha Ha Ha Choo its got you..  Now they can have a party reproduce and cause you or yours to feel the following symptoms.  Achy, sore throat, coughing, fever,  runny or stuffy nose, sore eyes, bleary eyes, and or hot eyes.

Wash away those pests…I find the best defense is a clean offense… Keep those pests away by washing your hands ALOT.  It’s not necessary to use aniti-bacteiral anything (thats another post)  simply soap and water works wonders.. Avoid touching door handles by using sleeve or paper towel.  Keep hands away from face.. don’t touch your eyes.

And, most importantly HYDRATE with WATER… Water is the best way to really hydrate.

Helpful HINTS to keep your immune system strong.. drink lots of water, hydrate with water (yep it’s that important, I put it in twice), sugar dehydrates us, caffiene dehydrates us, excersize is excellent, and 9 hours at a minimum of sleep is crucial.  Sleep is when our body recalibrates, and heals itself…

Homeopathic Remedies:  Pulsatilla known for stuffy noses ~Drosera is indicated for whooping type coughs

Reflex points:  apply a drop of one or more of the essential oils mentioned above in a dab of lotion and rub the ball of each foot length wise , top of feet and top of toes

Whole foods:  Oranges for the vitamine C, An apple a day keeps the Doc away,

Tincture and Herbs:  Astragalus is a wonderful supporter for your immune system, after and during illness a probiotic is a most helpful boost to build immunity, Elderberry, berry good immune supporter, and Goldenseal I have found to be magical for breaking up mucus.

Colds usually hang on for a week or 10 days.  During the first 4-5 days those pesky viruses are attemting to communicate with everyone and everything they can grab onto… so stay home , take care of your self, or your loved oneand keep it to yourself.. be compassionate think of others so in the future you can expect the same in return.

Mother natures gifts:  If you have an infant and they are congested, what should you do?  If your breast feeding your in luck.  aA wee squirt of Mom’s milk in the nose or congested eye will do the trick to break up the mucus and fight congestion.  Saline is also effective if breast milk is not available, or for older individuals.

Diffuse congestion.. with a diffuser…Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lemon or Thyme, which one appeals to you?

Put your best FOOT forward

Stinky feet~ Do you?  Do you know someone with STINKY FEET?

My kids both have sweaty, stinky feet… not me, they get it from their Dad.. LOL.

Did you know more than a quarter of a million sweat glands are present in your feet?  That is more sweat glands than in any other part of your body, including your arm pits.  And, guess what these glands release about a gallon of sweat per week… picture that in your boots.  Is it a great suprise that foot odor is so prevalent and a multi million dollar industry?

If your feet are particularly odoriferous, it just may be due to bromhidrosis, an inherited condition responsible for excessive and smelly perspiration from the feet.  sorry girls.. A common bacteria living in your shoes could also be to blame.. rather than your Dad or Mom..  Regardless of the source, put your best foot forward and stomp out those malodorous Stinky Feet…

Hints to help put your Stinky Best Foot forward.

1)  Caffeine CUT IT OUT- along with animal products try to minimize these as they effect your metabolism thus how your feet breath or produce sweat.

2)  Switch shoes- give your shoes a break allow your shoes time to dry out between wearings.   Two days is suggested-  This is also good for your feet as different shoes give your feet a change of pace.  Shoes need to dehydrate and allow the bacteria to dye which will cut down on the odor that they cause.

3)  Try shoe crystals, and or inserts

4)  Keep shoes clean and dry

Nose running? Away… with that annoying drip..

Post nasal drip is a real drip.. The hows and why’s.

The drip occurs when the thin mucus secrets into the throat by the lining of the nose and sinuses decreases and thickens, causing you irritation, possible embarasment and uncomfort.  With the changing of seasons, respiratory ailments such as allergies, colds and or sinusitis bring forth postnasal drip.  When you are lying down this lil drip may cause you a tickle in your throat and thus an uncomfortable sleep.  Have you ever had a faucet dripping while your trying to focus or sleep?  Well what did you do?  Let it drip and drive you crazy?  Or do Away with that annoying drip?

1)  Hydrate- drink a minimum of eight. 8 ounces glasses a day.  Warm or room temperature water not cold as this requires your body to go into shock and then slowly warm up the water before it can take it into your system.

2)  Eliminate dairy during the winter at least for two months.  Dairy creates mucus, so you do the math…

3)  Cut back- on coffee, any caffeinated drinks and alcohol all these cause the body to loose water…this warm human animal body needs to stay WELL hydrated to stay dis~ease free..

Holiday Hints for Happiness

Do the Ho-Ho-Holidays and Happiness ring true to you?  Over the past few years have the holidays brought you cheer?  Or anxiety, stress, dread and fear?…

Yep, the Holidays are near, they are  almost here, whether you like it or not.

Here is the list of NAUGHTY NO No’s- the culprits that create stress, and anxiety …  1)  Waiting until the last minuet to prepare for gatherings or gift giving.  2)  Attempting to do to much, and give too much. this could mean giving too much of yourself or to much monitarily.  3)  Drinking too much caffiene to counter balance giving too much of yourself.  4)  Over eating and most of all too many sweets, which creates an acid imbalance which inturn creates dis-ease…  Gathering with family and friends is what the Holidays are all about, though the demands that CAN come with the parties, gifts, baking, entertaining, family “stuff”, running around, can bring us down.  Helpful Holiday Hints- Should you choose to BE NICE to yourself…May I suggest that you, Reboost, and Re-charge by honoring yourself.

Nice not Naughty- Here is how to have Holiday Happiness~ Sprinkle a dash of lavender essential oil on your pillow.  Lavender will assist you to relax and achieve a good nights sleep .  Or you can place a drop on your wrist, in your car on a piece of cloth, or on a tissue in your pocket or purse to have handy with you to calm your nerves while in line purchasing that speacial gift for that special someone or in holiday traffic.  Valerian root is repritable for its calming, relaxing and soothing properties.  Think Peppermint for when you have over stuffed yourself, peppermint is tried-and -true to assist your bodies digestion. Another suggestion for peppermint is place a drop on your handkerchief and breath deep to eliminate the holiday head aches.

A yummy warm/hot bath with a few drops of any of the above essential oils will work wonders to take you into the Spirit of Winters Wonderland..
